I am passionate about raising money for Prostate Cancer UK following a diagnosis of Stage 2 Prostate Cancer in February 2021.They have provided me fantastic help since my cancer was confirmed.
Why am I raising money for Prostate Cancer UK ?
Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition - to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.
What I am doing to help raise funds
To help raise funds I will be running the following 15 events for a total of 450 miles to raise £4500:-

How I discovered I had Prostate Cancer (Men over 50 please read)
I had a blood PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen) test as part of annual health check in December 2020, and was shown to have a slightly elevated PSA reading 3.4 (above 3 needs checking).
I subsequently had an MRI scan which picked up some abnormalities with my prostate, so had a follow up prostate biopsy. I had no symptoms or any issues with prostate at this stage. Basically no issues peeing or any discomfort. Its easy to see why Prostate Cancer is called the silent killer.
The biopsy showed I had Grade 2 Prostate Cancer. Gleason 7(3+4) to be precise. This isn’t as bad as it sounds, as it can be treated. I am just feeling lucky that I had it picked up so soon, otherwise things could have been a lot worse.
I have now received HIFU ultrasound treatment to shrink the cancer and will now be having 3 monthly PSA tests and annual MRI scans.
MEN OVER 50 Contact your GP TODAY to get a free PSA test.
Hopefully you won’t have any issues, but it’s ESSTENTIAL to catch it early.
Try and have the PSA test EVERY YEAR, as the older you get, the likelihood of getting Prostate Cancer increases.
Feel free to call or message me if you have any questions about Prostate Cancer or any of the running events I am taking part in.
