Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I will be taking part in the Great Manchester Run as part of the Manchester University Press ‘elite’ team running in memory of our sorely missed great friend and colleague Reena Jugnarain who died of cancer in November 2012 aged 33. Reena or ‘Ron’ (World Champ Anchorman impersonator - see pic).
As a team we’re running for two charities, The Christie (where Reena, along with many others received some of the most fantastic care and treatment) and Cancer Research. We’ve all in some way been affected by this disease, we know it robs you of family, friends and loved ones and although we’re all doing this for Reena, I’ll also be running with my Mam very much in heart and mind who I lost to cancer in December 2011.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Please give what you can and help more people as special as Reena and my Mam stay around longer!
So please dig deep and donate now.
