On March 6th i'm off to Nepal and China to try and raise money for Cancer Research.

I'm firstly going to attempt to trek to Everest Base Camp which involves an 13 day trek at high altitude culminating at the base camp at 5,360 metres above sea level.. Then i'm flying to China where i'll be trekking for 10 days along a stretch of the great wall of china north of Beijing.

I will be funding myself to carry out the two treks, unlike many charity treks which use part of the raised funds to fund the trip, so that anything i raise goes directly to the cause. Also although i am raising money primarily for a UK charity, I will be making my own donation to a local Nepalese charity once i reach Kathmandu.

I have chosen Cancer Research as my charity as this is a charity close to my heart and my family. A number of those close by have been effected and they give me the drive to train and complete these events. I hope you can help raise money for this cause.
