Hi,

For those that don't know me my name is Lauren Frost and I am taking part in this Silence Speaks challenge to raise money for and awareness of Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

I've have been working more increasingly with people who suffer from MND and seen first hand just how cruel it is, I work for a company called Liberator who manufactuer communication devices that can be used to help give people their voice back by activating buttons on a computer (normally using eyegaze) to get the computer to speak the word or phrase that they want to say.

For those of you who have visited and do know me, you'll know how difficult a sponsored silence is going to be for me but I am choosing to temporarily loose my voice to raise awareness of the people who don't have a choice and will permanently loose their voices.

I've decided to put a bit of a twist on my Silence Speaks challenge as I am going to use a communication aid to communicate for the day, I'll upload a video of what the communication aid looks like so you can see exactly how I'll be communicating.
