1 in 8 of us will be diagnosed with breast cancer during our lifetime so this October Breast Cancer Care encouraged people nationwide to take part in its Pink Friday fundraising campaign by wearing pink, eating pink or partying pink on a Friday! All the money raised will go towards supporting women and men affected by breast cancer.
Employees across National Document Shredding and Document Storage and Scanning Company, Shredall and SDS, pulled out all the stops to raise awareness this month.
Lloyd Williams, MD comments “Each Friday we are turning everything pink – to increase awareness for Breast Cancer Care. Uniform, Fancy Dress, Cake Sales, Football competition, ping pong competition"
Lloyd continues “Last year we raised nearly £1000 by simply wearing pink and having fun all in aid of an amazing charity is incredible. Our team nationwide took part and I know everyone enjoyed raising vital funds to enable the charity to support anyone affected by breast cancer, including their friends and family.”
Charlotte Williams, Marketing and PR Manager comments, “With Shredall and SDS having many male staff – I thought it would be a perfect way to gain awareness around the country for the stereotypical "blokey" world of shredders, warehouses, boxes, scanners and the rest of the team get in touch with their feminine side and raise funds for one of the countries best known charities – Breast Cancer Care.”
