Story
In 2002 my husband Steve died from Motor Neurone Disease, (MND).This is a rare progressive disease which leads to weakness and wasting of the muscles, causing increasing loss of mobility in the limbs and difficulty with speech, swallowing and breathing. During Steve's illness both the MND association and Jersey Hospice gave Steve incredible support. In APRIL 2012 myself, my two daughters Jess, Jodie and my neice Jemma will climb Mount Kilimanjaro in memory of Steve ( it was his wish that the girls climb a mountain for him), as it will be the 10th anniversary since we lost him. Seeing what this disease did to Steve was horrible. I want his memory to live on and hope someday there is a cure for this terrible disease.
Please donate generously.
Thank you
Shirley, Jess and Jodie
