Story
I will be taking part in the London Edinburgh London ultra-endurance cycling challenge, covering 1500km to raise money for Goodenough College's emergency financial assistance program, The Mecklenburgh Fund.
I have always been involved in sports and cycling from the age of 16 years old. In South Africa I raced competitively for a number of years and participated in all the famous road events (Cape Argus, 94.7, Amashova Durban Classic), mountain bike stage events (Sani2C, Berg and bush, Drak Challenge) and a half iron man (Durban 70.3). Recently I started taking an interest in ultra-distance events and raising the bar on my own personal achievements.
Myself and Carmen had the amazing opportunity to raise funds for the Goodenough College Covid-19 fund, to support those students who have struggled financially through the pandemic as we took part in the virtual London marathon 2021. With the above in mind it would be an amazing opportunity to support the Mecklenburgh fund and assist again in a very small way to support those student in need complete their studies.
