Story
Hi, I'm Bobby and I'm 11 years old. I have got a mop of thick, curly hair which I have been growing for my entire life (apart from three small trims to keep my dad happy!) I have just started at high school. I love my new school but they are making me have my hair cut short! :-(
To turn this into a positive, I have decided to raise money to help my youngest brother Uzi, and other people like him.
Uzi was born with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC). This is a rare genetic condition which means that he has benign growths on his organs. These growths cause other complications, so in addition, Uzi has Autism and Epilepsy. His development is also delayed. Uzi is four years old; he is very cute, cuddly and likes to sing a lot. I love my little brother so much, I would even cut my hair for him!
Last year, Uzi had a huge seizure which left him in Intensive Care and in hospital for a week. The Tuberous Sclerosis Association (TSA) offers support for people like Uzi with TSC. More importantly, TSA funds vital medical research, and during Uzi's lifetime there have already been significant breakthroughs with new medication and treatments. I hope that one day, they will succeed in finding a cure for TSC. You could help make this more likely by donating now.
Thank you.
