Story
Hello everyone,
I'm running the Edinburgh Half Marathon on Sunday 25th of May 2014.
Firstly, I'm raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support, to whom I owe a personal debt of gratitude for the care and support they gave my mum (and the rest of the family) whilst she was fighting ovarian cancer. Sadly, she lost her battle against the disease in 1994. This year marks the 20 year anniversary of my mums death, and I thought it appropriate to give something back to the charity.
So, here are 3 reasons why it'd be great if you could spare a few pounds to donate to the cause:
1. Macmillan are an excellent charity who rely heavily on charitable donations in order to provide support to families affected by cancer. The work they do is nothing short of saintly!
2. I'd like to do something for my mum this year, she was one of a kind, fondly remembered, and sadly missed.
3. I'm rubbish at running, no, really, I'm terrible at it. This is a monumental challenge for me!
