Sheffield Nightline is a confidential, anonymous listening services run by students for the students of Univeristy of Sheffield and Hallam University.
We are open every night during term time 8pm-8am and offer a friendly, non judgemental ear for any problem, no matter how big or how small, a student might have. Our service now includes a listening line, an information line, an e-listening service and an instant messenger service.
Nightline volunteers do not get paid for what they do, they give their time to the organisation because they hope that they are providing a valuable resource to their fellow students.
Unfortunately, the work that Nightline does costs money as well as time and whilst we are lucky enough to receive funding from both universities, there is always more we could be doing to expand the service and help it run more efficiently.
If you would like to know more about the organisation feel free to get in touch or visit our social media pages or, if you already know about what we do and appreciate our efforts then, if you can, please help us by donating. Help us continue with the student support that we have been offering for over 40 years!
