Story
Climbing mountains has been a 7 year journey for me and Everest will be the icing on the cake. I leave on April 5th for 2 months and hope to summit Everest in May at some point.
There are so many good causes I could support but this time I wanted to support the AMAZING sherpa who regularly risk their lives helping us fulfil our dreams. Every single one I have met over the past 7 years has seemed to work themselves to the bone to get us meagre westerners up the mountains of our choice.
The Tendi Sherpa Foundation supports remote communities in Nepal where aid from other charitable bodies and the Nepalese Government is minimal or non-existent. focus on building schools, medical clinics and bridges to enable safe travel as well as other projects to improve living conditions. they support the wishes of Tendi to prioritise the education of orphan children, children from destitute families and older children who have not have the opportunity to go to school due to lack of financial support. Often as a result of the father loosing his life on a mountain. Visit: www.tsfnepal.org
I met Tendi only a few weeks ago in London when he told his amazing personal story of how he came from his small village to now climbing Everest most year's. It is heart wrenching and inspirational. This season he will be taking another group of hopefuls up the south side. We plan to shake hands at the top !!
Please help me help Tendi by raising a good pot of money to fund some of their amazing projects.
