The Feel Good Bakery - A new Social enterprise for Regenerate helping local young people change their lives.
STORY
Jan 7th 2015, I will be setting off to South America to Climb Aconcagua. At almost 7000 metres it is the worlds highest trekking mountain. The challenge will be coping with the combination of very thin air, temperatures that could plummet to - 30C and very high winds! I am doing this for the challenge but also for one of my other great passions in Life - The Feel Good Bakery.
I am one of the founding members of The Feel Good Bakery. It is a new Social enterprise set up in one of the old youth clubs on the Ashburton estate in Putney. We employ young people that are turning their backs on gang life and give them the first steps to a more positive life and employment.
TFGB has captured much interest from some of the top gang leaders in the area and many are and want to work for TFGB. But we need more funding to make it more sustainable, employ & encourage more young people, help it grow and to hopefully expand to other deserted Youth club sites in London as well. The objective is to help more local young people lead a positive life, free from drugs and gang mentality.

...... Help people like Sachmo - Sachmo is a member of The Feel Good Bakery who we fully support and help to pursue his dreams of becoming a professional actor. He’s had a troubled past but now with the help of our Feel Good team he is on a better path. He works part time in the morning and the rest of the day works on achieving his goals, whether it’s alongside his mentor provided by TFGB or alone. TFGB has also helped Sachmo with driving lessons and paid for his driving test as part of the personal development support plan. It's working for Sachmo and the other employees of TFGB.
