On 27th June 2015, I will be putting my best foot forward and walking 25km from Watford to Tring, along the Grand Union Canal, to raise money for Home-Start Dacorum, a charity I care passionately about.

Home-Start offers confidential support, friendship and practical help to families with young children. It is a universal service available to any family undergoing a period of stress or difficulty.

Home-Start recruits and trains volunteers, who are usually parents themselves, to visit families in their own home, to help give children the best possible start in life and help their parents grow in confidence, strengthen their relationships with their children and widen their links with the local community.

I have been involved with Home-Start Dacorum both as a volunteer and more recently as a trustee and I have experienced first hand the invaluable support this charity provides to families at times of difficulty.

I am hoping to hoping to raise £250 and any support would be really appreciated.
