Story
Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page.
Running has never been a natural strength of mine, but at the beginning of this year (as I do every year) thought it was time I started to get fit....after all im not getting any younger!! As you will know I am never one to turn down a challenge and as I was telling a couple of friends that I had run 3 times in my first week, they sarcastically suggested I should go in for a half marathon. What I hadnt told them was my 3 runs had probably only totalled 1 mile!! So here I am now my own worst enemy counting down the vast amount of training time I will need to give me a chance of completing the 13.1 miles on the 6th October.
The NSPCC have been a charity that I have supported for a number of years and having seen the tremendous difference they make to the lives of so many children across the UK, I want to raise as much money as possible for the children who in their short lives been through more than most of us could ever imagine. That's why what I'm about to put myself through doesn't seem so bad. Each wall I hit will be worth it. Because I know that my efforts and most importantly, your support will help the NSPCC prevent more children suffering needlessly. Please give what you can. Your support really can change lives.
