As most of you know, my dear old Mum has been suffering with this dreadful disease for at least 7 years.  As she lives with me I have watched the deterioration in her through those years.  She is now in the severe stages and sadly has no memories at all.  She does not know any of her family and can do nothing for herself.  It is heartbreaking to witness.  My sister and I feel cheated.  We should have been enjoying our Mum's company and doing stuff together but that has been taken away from us. There is nothing we can do for her now except love her and look after her and be with her at the end.  We need to raise money to help the Alzheimer's Society research a cure.  Please give generously to this very worthy cause.  They have a fabulous website and a great members forum which is both supportive and informative.
