Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.

On Saturday the 2nd of July I will be taking part in the Birmingham Black Country Half Marathon to raise money for the KIDS charity.

KIDS are a national charity with over 40 years experience in working holistically with all disabled children, young people and their families.  Their services in the West Midlands provide support for disabled children, young people (0-25yrs) and their families.

At present, they are working with over 2000 families across the region through over 50 different projects including Early Years Support Service (0-5 years), Family Support, Childminders Inclusion Project, Leisure and Social opportunities, KIDS Inclusion Development Service and a region-wide Transitions service which offers young people aged 16-25years workshops and out and about activities to develop life skills, training and employment opportunities.

KIDS exists because more has to be done to make society a more inclusive place for disabled children, young people and their families to support them in everyday life and in fulfilling their future hopes, dreams and aspirations.

Some of the children who benefit greatly from the amazing support that the KIDS charity provides are Sophie, Megan and Malachi who are pictured with me on my recent visit.

So if you can, please dig deep and sponsor me for this great cause.

Many thanks
