As my friends and family will know I was adopted myself  and I’m very aware that I was very lucky with my amazing family giving me a second chance and saving me from a life and situation that a child doesn’t deserve to be in and for that I’m forever grateful and humbled.

Unfortunately there’s so many young mothers that just can’t cope with raising a child.

There’s very little help and they just have no other option other than possibly the hardest decision they’ll ever make, parting with their child. 

I’d imagine this choice for a mother would be 1 of the hardest decisions to make feeling  the only hope they have on giving their child the best life possible is to offer them for adoption and I’m blessed that this is my story. 

This challenge isn’t for me though, it’s to help children that are in care and to support foster families alike.

Times are tough for every family but it’s especially challenging for those parenting children who have experienced neglect or abuse. Trauma experienced in their early lives has a lasting impact on their relationships, health and learning. That’s not fair! Adoption gives children a second chance of stability, permanence, and the love and nurture that all children need yet it’s not a simple quick fix.
