There have been several deployments to Malawi via Green Crescent Aid Uk, because they work on a 100% donation policy basis I have been given the oppotunity to assist on this years deployment on 9th April until 21st April on a self funded basis.

Over 50% of the 18 million population live under the international poverty line of £1 per day, 23% of child death cases are related to malnutrition and there is a high death rate due to water-borne diseases, HIV/Aids and general poor health.

In Ramadan many of us will be fasting and have an abundance of food with our families. However, in Malawi families will be struggling for food. Large families are surviving in many cases on a single meal a day. Your help can make their Ramadan easier. So please donate so we are able to put together as many Food Parcels possible– the more we are able to raise the More we can give out. No donation is too small.

Each parcel costs £35 (zakat applicable) and contains Rice (10 KG), Maize Flour (10 KG), Sugar (5 KG), Cooking Oil (5 Litres), Beans (5 KG), Salt (2 KG), Ground Nuts (3 KG), Dates (2 KG) and 1 Chitinjee (traditional cloth) for the women.
