Story
A routine appointment in 2013 turned our family's life upside down. One word, Cancer. The appointments came thick and fast, rounds upon rounds of chemotherapy, radiotherapy and operations, with the Chemotherapy sessions taking place at the Shooting Star ward in Wrexham Maelor hospital. Mum never complained once, with a smile on her face she endured years of pain and treatment and inspired all who knew her. Mum gained her wings on the 12th October 2017 and has left a huge whole in all our hearts, I never imagined losing my hero at 18 and looking forward to a life without mum is a scary prospect so as a family we are helping keep our Sally's legacy alive and raising money for the Shooting star ward at the Wrexham Maelor Hospital where Sally was a patient throughout her illness.
Seymour and Ben completed a cycle ride from London to Cologne in 2018 which was 352 miles in 4 days so this time we're setting them on a even bigger challenge, Lands End to John O'Groats. Which will see them cycle 980 miles in 10 days, we will be with them along the way and have the tissues ready as it is sure to be an emotional journey remembering Sally and the wonderful person she was.
