Just over half way to target, nice one guys! I suppose I'd better get on with the training now then.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I’m trying to raise money for a totally ridiculous bike ride I’ll be doing in July, from Bath to Reading, which is 85 miles. And I’ll be doing it in a day!
The money I raise is going to Plan International who are helping the company I work for, Teneo, on a project to provide Early Childhood Care and Development in Ghana. With the support of Teneo, over 12 months, Plan will build and equip a new pre-school block with three classrooms, an office, store and sanitation facilities for 166 pupils (3-6 years) at Motigu Primary School.
The bonus to this is that it gives me the motivation I need to lose weight for my wedding in September, so if I lose 1lb for every £5 you donate, I’ll be able to fit into a really nice suit for the big day!
The route between Bath and Reading takes me along the Kennet & Avon canal and through some lovely countryside, but don’t think it’s a soft option. As well as the sheer distance there is also the July heat, the occasional field, rough terrain, dog walkers, a 5 mile stretch made up entirely of thorn bushes where I WILL get at least one puncture, and also the fact that I am, to put it mildly, somewhat unfit.
So please donate generously. You’re helping out entire generations of children, improving Becca’s wedding day and, most importantly, ensuring that I actually have to do a thing that will probably kill me.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
