Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As some of you may know I automatically got into the New York Marathon this year. On the 3rd of Novemeber I will be running 26.2 miles through the 5 boroughs of New York.
I'm running for the charity Sands in honour of Bali Jones Kilgour who was stilborn in 2012 to my cousin Sian and her husband Matt Kilgour.
Fife Sands offers support and advice to parents and families whose baby has died during pregnancy or soon after birth.
Fife Sands also aims to raise awareness amongst the community of the trauma surrounding such a loss and provides information to health professionals involved in the care of bereaved parents.
Not only does this charity provide much needed support there funds are used in the research towards prevention. Bali jones Kilgour was born sleeping on January 22nd 2012. She is a much loved daughter granddaughter niece and cousin. She has touched do many lives.
Here is a letter that Sian & Matt wrote to Bali, and has kindly given me so that you can all see she is not forgotten:
Our Baby Bali Bee We waited so impatiently to meet you, to join our family.
Guessing if you would be a boy or girl. Wondering who you would look like?
Then our waiting was cut short, you were born 22nd January too soon and sleeping. Our hearts were broken in two, but then this most wonderful thing happened we held you for the first time, the room was filled with peace and love and when we looked at you we realised you were just too perfect for this world.
You were the most beautiful baby girl we had ever seen with your dark curly hair and button nose like daddy and pink kissable lips dimple chin like mummy, you even managed to take them all and turn them into perfection.
Bali you have given us the greatest gift anyone can have, we are so proud to be your mum and dad we can not put into words the love you have given us. We have dreamt so long about the things we wanted to share with you and teach you.
We will never hear you laugh or cry, never brush your hair but we promise you we will remember the two special days you gave us, for that our baby we thank you.
You were only here a short time you have touched us forever. You will always be in our hearts forever our precious daughter. You Are Our Sunshine,
