It’s eight years today that our little boy lost his six day battle
for life. Sadly, the death of a baby is not a rare tragedy in the UK: Every day 15 children die before, during or soon after birth.

I normally write a poem on the 5 November but this year
decided to do something different and try to raise some money for Child Bereavement and their #onemoreminute campaign.

Not long after we turned his life support off I found myself
home alone. I picked up a pen and paper to try and write down how I was feeling. I found the words when moving house last year, updated them and Roxanne Emery has turned them into “Seb’s Song”.

If I had #onemoreminute with him I would like to look at him, see him open his eyes and tell him we’ll never forget him and how proud we
are of him.
