Story
I have taken the plunge and signed up for the Loch Ness 2013 marathon. I've never really done any serious long distance running, my only experience of running is a few easy enough 10k's. I'm taking this a little more seriously and I have embarked on a gruelling training schedule culminating in the marathon in September. I am running the East London Half Marathon in April, and will probably run a few other 10k's too.
So why do it you may ask. Firstly masicorp is a great cause and some friends have embarked on an impressive project to build a school in South Africa. in particular it is to build a suitable school in a small township outside cape town. The children are currently taught in a garage at the back if the teachers house, so we can make a real difference providing the right environment for children who are desperate for an education. There are several organised events in the pipeline, and Jordan Jenkins is running the marathon too. We are just a small part of a huge project to raise £30k plus to build the school.
Secondly it's a great a personal challenge, and easily underestimated as an achievement. I know I underestimated the challenge and believe me I'm going to suffer for the next 4/5 months. Running long distance isnt something that comes easy for me so it's going to be tough, but your sponsorship will be such a motivation.
Please give generously, it's such a great cause.
thank you in advance!
