In the words of Rambo "Live for nothing or die trying"....

After watching my father-in-law run the London Marathon a few years ago I decided (somewhat foolishly maybe) that it was something I would like to have a go at. After all, surely if a man almost twice my age can do it then for me at a mere 33 it should be a walk in the park, right?..........I have since realised that (a) 26.2 miles is a lot further when you're trying to run it than when sat in the comfort of your car and (b) he is much fitter than I realised so made it look easy.

So now for my inspiration. My wife Emily and I are the proud parents of Isabella, our gorgeous 2 1/2 year old daughter. Isabella suffers from severe hearing loss which she has had since birth and means she has to wear hearing aids. In fundraising for the NDCS it will go some way to supporting an amazing charity that provides invaluable support and advice to families in similar situations. A little bit can go a long way so whatever I can raise I know it will be going to a fantastic, worthwhile cause that is close to my heart!!
