Story

From April 23-25 th,I will be taking part in the Virtual Kiltwalk, completing a backyard ultramarathon to raise funds for Thistle Foundation.

I’m going to repeat   a 4 mile forest loop in Glentress ( nr Peebles) leaving on the hour every hour for as long as I can starting 3pm Friday 23 rd April.

I don’t know how far I’ll get but I’d love to stay moving over two nights, finishing Sunday morning

Thistle is an Edinburgh-based charity and   supports people with long term health conditions   in Scotland to self manage and live life as well as possible. Over the last year, Thistle have been focusing on supporting people living with the impact of Long Covid.

I’m going to try to use the skills I’ve learned from people I support to help get me through this weekend.

The money I raise will by topped up by 50% thanks to the generosity of Sir Tom Hunter and The Hunter Foundation, meaning that for every £10 raised, Thistle will receive £15 towards supporting people living with long term health conditions.

Any donations are very much appreciated. Thank you!
