Story

From Wheelchair to Munro.

In 2008 I became disabled through a condition known as Pelvic Girdle Pain, a painful condition of the pelvic joints, in my case caused by pregnancy. I was virtually unable to walk and in considerable pain. Following on from eighteen months of needing a wheelchair, stick and support belt, I am now making a strong recovery. Walking has been an important part of my recovery and I have set myself the challenge of climbing Schiehallion this September. I am raising money for the John Muir Trust who own East Schiehallion and the Pelvic Instability Network who gave me fantastic support during my illness.

Pelvic Instability Network Scotland (PINS) is a  registered Scottish Charity  which has been set up to support people with Pelvic Girdle Pain (formerly Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction or SPD).
