Sarah's 10k

Great Manchester Run 2024 · 26 May 2024 ·
I’m sure most of you are sick and tired of me going on and on about my 10k. I know that for most it’s no big deal. However for me it is. I started this as a personal goal, I wanted a better life style and I wanted to improve my mental health. I’m turning 50 this year and to finally embrace it feels like an achievement on its own. I looked back today at when I stared to run in January, it was -3 some days and I couldn’t do anymore than 1k on my first run. I’m not a runner I’ve never been a runner and it’s genuinely something I didn’t think I could do. Last year my friend Nicola was diagnosed with stage 4 terminal bowel and liver cancer. This has obviously been devastating news to everybody that knows her and her family. Macmillan is a charity that is close to my heart and to so many peoples. I will be donating everything I’ve raised in Nicola’s name and I’m sending her and her family all my love and support.
To everybody who has donated I’m overwhelmed, I’ve smashed my target of £250 I cannot thank you all enough. Xx
Thinks for supporting my fundraising. Macmillan gives people with cancer everything they’ve got. If you’re diagnosed, your worries are Macmillan’s worries. Macmillan’s doing whatever it takes. But without your help, Macmillan can’t support everyone who needs them.
