Story
I am joining the fight against heart disease by taking on the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon to help raise money for the British Heart Foundation's (BHF) life saving research.
I am running the half marathon alongside my friend Michelle Garnier whose father sadly died from a heart attack in 2010. It was very sudden and unfortunately he had the heart disease for quite some time but it lay undetected. It really is a silent killer.
We are both extremely proud to be taking on this challenge for the BHF, knowing that for every mile we run, and every pound we raise, we will help bring the BHF a step closer to beating heart disease.
A big thank you to everyone who’s supported us so far as we prepare to lace up our trainers. But if you could spare a few pounds, we would really appreciate it – every penny really does make a difference.
