Back in 1994 I met, and lived with, some amazing friends at uni. We continue to keep in touch and are incredibly supportive of one another. Me and our friend, Melissa, were the 'Mums' of the group, ensuring everyone was fed and well!!

Melissa was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer in 2013. I will never forget that day and I pray every day she will be alright. Melissa and husband Robin have 3 totally gorgeous children and the Willow Foundation is an amazing charity which supports young families in situations like this. Melissa is a true inspiration: she continues to fundraise tirelessly for her children's school and for NCT. She has returned to teaching to share her passion for history. She's always on the road visiting friends or having people to stay. And catering for 20+ is the norm in their house!
