Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I started cycling about four years ago after a friend bought a shiny new bike. Of course I had to get one too. I love cycling and combining this with raising money for such worthy causes is a no brainer for me.

Each year I have cycled a coast to coast route with four friends raising money for various charities. This year I am fundraising for Women V Cancer which supports Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust, Ovarian Cancer Action and Breast Cancer Care. I will be on Cycle India (Group1) which sets off in October 2012 cycling 350km across rural Rajasthan, from Agra to Jaipur along with around 100 other women in my group. When I go it will be seven years almost to the day since my Mum died from Breast Cancer. I'm doing this for her. I'm also doing it for other people close to me who are currently fighting the cancer battle, whether it be breast, ovarian or cervical and those who have fought it already and have kicked it into touch...you know who you are and this is for you too.

I have a few challenging events lined up for fundraising:

* Coast to Coast from Morecambe Bay to Bridlington. 173 miles with a strong East coast wind! Glorious sun and fantastic scenery - would recommend it to anyone :) May 2011

* Cycle to Tan Hill and visit the highest pub in England, fund raise while there and cycle back (hopefully down hill) 9th July 2011 It was a long hard slog and took around 6hrs to climb 1700 feet in torrential rain, blazing sun and hailstones. 3hrs home, not bad going!

* Grow £1 scheme where profit is made from the initial pound - Daniel's plant sale Saturday 25th June on our front garden made £105!

* BBQ fundraiser - July 2011 Lots of lovely food and generous people generated a profit of £280!

* Red Chilli Indian Night - Saturday 24th September 2011. We had fun and £200 went into our joint pot!

* Joseph's sponsored swim 100 lengths of 25m pool - End September 2011. He did so well 2.5km in 50 minutes!

* Bag packing in Morrisons - Saturday 19 November 2011 Wow! £750 raised! This was a shared event and has been paid into our shared account.

* Christmas Craft Fair involving some lovely friends and their creative skills - Methodist Chuch hall, Northallerton Saturday 3rd December 2011 £800 raised for our shared account and £500 match funded!

* Coffee Morning - Saturday 24th March 2011 - raised £600 for our joint fund

* Spring Ball 4th May 2012, Romanby Golf Club, Northallerton - Raised over £4000 for our joint fund! Wow!

* 12 Hour spinning outside Tesco! July 2012

* More bag packing July 2012 2012

* Coast and Castles bike ride, June 2012 - 140 miles in rain, rain and a litle bit of sun!
