Story
When I was diagnosed with breast cancer in February of this year, it was like being hit with a sledgehammer. But from my first appointment at the Primrose Breast Care Unit in Derriford Hospital I was supported and cared for by the kind and friendly staff.
I felt I wanted to do a coast-to-coast walk to give me something to aim for during my treatment, and to give something back to the Primrose Unit.
My walk begins in Westward Ho!, on the North Devon coast, and will end 100 miles later in Wembury on the South Devon coast. I've divided it into 20 shorter sections which I hope will be manageable during my chemo. I hope this walk will also be part of my recovery.
