The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child explicitly sets out the Articles to enshrine the rights of every child. Israel ratified the Convention in 1991 and yet refuses to recognise that the Convention should apply to the West Bank. The Bombing attacks in Gaza cause serious damage to homes, schools and hospitals affecting children as well as injury. Every child has these rights, including Palestinian children.  The Convention has 54 Articles and some of these rights are; every child has the right to a safe family life, the right to an education and the right to protection and freedom from war.

This bike ride is being used to raise awareness about the arms race funding Israel's war against Palestine.

All donations will go to MECA who will use the money to fund sports programs for young children in Gaza to help recuperate from the attacks from Israel.

The physical activity will be a great help in allowing these children to heal and grow resilient in the face of war.
