Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Despite my best efforts over the years, I am not a natural runner, and having lived in the North East for over a decade, and cheering on the runners each year, it never crossed my mind that I wanted to, and would, run the GNR myself.
But then a colleague got the Motor Neurone Disease diagnosis, and then a friend, and after their sad passings, it really hit home that it can affect anybody at any age. There is currently no cure for MND.
I decided I want to raise money for MNDA, as it funds research to lead to understanding and new treatments, improve care and support for people with MND and their families and carers, and campaign to raise awareness of MND.
After some general fundraising, somehow running seemed logical and the challenge needed, with the GNR perfect for this.
So I am really trying with my running now, making sure I am going out training each week, despite the heat, so that I can make it to the end and help raise some money in the process to help this cause and fund the fight, as every bit helps.
Any and all donations that you can give to help MNDA continue its work, will help spur me on that extra bit and make the 13.1 miles worth it.
Thanks lots 😊
