Hey All,

My Sister in laws mum (Jan McCabe) sadly passed away at the weekend after bravely fighting cancer and I am now doing this trek in her memory. I am also doing this for my Step mum, Veronica that continues to fight cancer courageously every day. Jan was an inspiration and fought until the end. She was visited by Macmillan  nurses daily and appreciated every minute of their time.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As most of you know I 'run' Race for Life every summer for Cancer Research. For 2011 I have decided to challenge myself a bit and make as much dosh as I can but for the cancer care chairty, Macmillan. I will be trekking the great wall of China in September for 10 days with a team of 60 people. Having watched my wonderful step mum suffer with cancer for the past few years I understand that, as much as we need to get a cure for cancer, we need to care for those that are suffering with it now! Its a horrible illness and Macmillan nurses do so much to make life a bit better for people suffering every day with it.

I am sure my trip will be rewarding in many ways but getting that £3500 to Macmillan is going to be the best bit!
