Sarah's London Marathon 2024 and RTTS 100km ultra challenge

London Marathon 2024 · 21 April 2024 ·
There are 16 million disabled people in the UK. That’s one in four of us. Life is harder when you’re disabled. You're twice as likely to be unemployed, getting care is a struggle and the cost of living is higher. It’s wrong and unacceptable. So, I'm fundraising for Scope to create a fairer society. We want a future that’s fair to disabled people, always. Together we’ll use our collective power to change attitudes and end the injustice.Join me in making this happen. Let's end disability inequality, today.
Receiving my ADHD diagnosis and learning that not everyone sees the world in the same way I do has literally been life changing for me. So I’m combining running, an activity that has helped me and others, raising awareness and much needed funds for Scope running my first London marathon and my first 100km ultra marathon this year.
As a run leader and now coach I’ve witnessed the power of running not just for ADHD, but Autism, Mental heath and general health and wellbeing. It enhances the lives of many and the marathon offers a platform to increase awareness of what disability looks like and how it’s often the environment and attitudes of ableism that are disabling not the condition.
