Walking is the hard part, sponsoring us should be easy!
On Sunday, May 8th we will be walking the full 26-mile route, which goes around Birmingham and follows the Number 11 bus route. (If you’ve ever been on the Number 11, you’ll know it goes quite a distance!)
26 miles and we want to let you know why we are doing it.....
All of the money donated by you will go direct to Birmingham Children’s Hospital and will help fund a rebuild of the Emergency Department that is much needed.
The Emergency Department of Birmingham Children’s Hospital is the gateway to state-of-the-art treatment in one of Britain’s most iconic hospitals – and for some of the most dangerously ill or seriously injured youngsters, their only chance of survival.
The refurbishment does not come cheap – around £500,000 for a full re-fit – but with luck and thanks to the enormous generosity of BRMB in choosing the Children’s Hospital’s Emergency Department as their main Walkathon charity it could soon be a reality.
