Douglas Macmillan Hospice (Dougie Mac) is the only hospice in Staffordshire supporting Children, Young Adults & Adults. Care is given to patients who are living with a life-limiting illness at our two sites and in the community. We also provide support for patients families and their carers.

Story

I have decided to attempt the Guinness World Record female Land’s End to John O’ Groats and back again. It is 1679.63 miles and I’d like to achieve it within 8.5 days.

I have always preferred endurance sports (or maybe I’m just better at going for further, slower than I am shorter, faster!) but this is way beyond anything I’ve ever attempted… ever!

I’ll need all the support I can get both before and during my attempt with equipment, nutrition, planning, trackers etc. so if you feel you can help me in anyway, please get in touch. As it is such a challenge to me, I also feel the need to try to raise as much as I can for Dougie Mac. Those who know me know the reasons why this place is so important to me and why I want to try to raise money for them so that they can keep doing the vital and precious work that they do to help other families through what is only ever going to be the toughest times.

I’ll be posting updates on my This is me. Endurance Adventures Facebook page and Instagram page if you’d like to keep up to date with my training and how things are going.
