100 MILES IN 7 DAYS!!! Grassington to Robin Hoods Bay
"Under the sky, through dale, vale and moor ... and so to the sea!"
On Saturday 29th May 2010, whilst many other 'sane' people will be beginning to unwind and look forward to enjoying a relaxing Bank Holiday weekend, I will be doing exactly the opposite and embark on a 100 mile walk - all in the aid of charity!!!
The walk will take place over the course of a week and will be broken down as follows:
Day 1 - Grassington to Nidderdale (Distance - 12 miles)
Day 2 - Upper Nidderdale to Snape (Distance - 15 miles)
Day 3 - Snape to South Otterington (Distance - 14 miles)
Day 4 - South Otterington to Hawnby (Distance - 15 miles)
Day 5 - Hawnby to Hutton-Le-Hole (Distance - 14 miles)
Day 6 - Hutton-Le-Hole to Saltergate (Distance - 13 miles)
Day 7 - Saltergate/Levisham to Robin Hoods Bay (Distance 17miles)
As you can probably see from the itinerary, this walk will be no 'walk in the park' for me!! But the charity for which I have put myself forward for this, what some might call crazy, task is the Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research Charity, a charity very close to my heart and more than worth a blister or two!!!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and help me in my cause. Your support is greatly appreciated and without people like yourselves the charity would not be able to continue in it's good work. Blood cancers including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma affect people of all ages, from newborns to great-grandparents and the work of The Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research Charity - either searching for a cure or for ways to make treatment easier to manage and less aggressive - really is invaluable.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now, even if it is just a little, as every penny really does help (and wish me luck)!!
Many thanks, Sarah.
