On 1st November We stomped through the Surrey Hills, taking in the dizzying heights of Surrey's highest point- Leith Hill! We left Holmbury St Mary village hall at 8am, walked Holmbury Hill and Leith Hill by 9.30! At this point it was a beautiful day... We were above the mist in the valley below with blue sky all around.  Then the long walk across to the Stepping Stones (just about managed to stay dry.... Glad I had waterproof shoes!) and then the killer climb up 'stairs' on the side of Box Hill! Unfortunately there wasn't a view as the mists had settled back in.... Although the ice cream van was a welcome sight!
