We provide specialist palliative care to people with life-limiting illnesses

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My mum suffered from Lung, Bone and Gland cancer for a full year.  She lost her battle to cancer last Saturday (22nd May 2010).

My Dad and I have spent a full year caring for my mum and in the last 6 weeks of her life we gained a lot help from the Hospice Staff at Somerton Road but we were always by her side day and night.  The Staff, Doctors, Nurses, Carers & Volunteers made her last few weeks of her life as comfortable as possible, plus also taking me under their wings and never stopped worrying about me during their busy day.

I am lost without my dear mother, but I know the best thing to do, is give back to the people who gave so much to us in such a short time.  I will never forget what they have done for Mum and my family.  They are wonderful people.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So please dig deep and donate now.
