Hi there,

Carl, shared Lesley Knights' heart breaking story with me, of the loss of her only son, Thomas, aged just 11. Thomas was unfortunately involved in a road accident and he was air lifted to hospital. However, vital time was lost when the Air Ambulance had to land on the road as the hospital did not have a helipad.

Lesley now works for the County Air Ambulance Trust raising much need funds for HELP.

The HELP appeal raises money for HELICOPTER EMERGENCY LANDING PADS.

The Charity focuses on raising money to provide helipads to as many hospital locations as possible. The use of helipads saves time and lives.

As mother myself it saddened me to hear Lesley’s story and it motivated Carl and I to join the group to raise much needed funds for The County Air Ambulance HELP Appeal.

Carl and I are supporting Lesley and the HELP Appeal by joining others to cycle from Stafford to Caernarfon.  In total we will be riding 124 miles in just one day! Ouch! 

At present we are training hard, whilst meeting with our fellow charity cyclists for monthly training rides to raise money for this great cause.
