I did it!!
And I wasn't last! Knocking back the wine now celebrating finishing in 2hrs 33mins - not so bad for an olden.
Enormous thanks to all you lovely people who have donated. I love you all. The brilliant news is others can still donate as JustGiving keeps the page open for a good while.....just saying.
I know this is ridiculously short-notice but it occurred to me it was silly to haul myself through the streets of Stratford-on-Avon this Sunday without trying to raise funds - especially when my own daughter provides the motivation!
Our lovely Eliza has had epilepsy for 10 years now and, at times, has really been through the mill.
Thankfully, due to daily doses of two drugs she's seizure-free at the moment, but always has to be aware of her health and often has to impose limits on her social life so as not to endanger herself. That's a bit sad when you're a vivacious 26-year-old.
But take a look at the twitter feed of the marvellous Epilepsy Society and you'll see stories what are SO much sadder. Babies, youngsters, teenagers and adults alike are plagued by this horrible condition, with many suffering hundreds of seizures in one single day.
I want to do whatever I can to help the research work of the society keep on helping Eliza and as many people as possible.
So please, if you can, make a little donation. You'll put a smile on so many faces. Thank you. Xx
