On the 28th I am running the London Run to the Beat Half Marathon in support of Merlin, the UK's leading international health charity.

To give you an idea about their work... "Merlin sends medical experts to the frontline of global emergencies.  When disaster strikes, our doctors and nurses work around the clock to save lives fast. Working together with tireless health workers on the ground, we take countries shattered by war, earthquake or floods from emergency to recovery – staying for as long as it takes.

From Haiti to Pakistan, thousands of Merlin health workers are spread across the globe. They are providing these countries – among the poorest on earth – with the vital medical care they need to survive, and the services they need to thrive.

Every minute, thirteen people are treated by a Merlin health worker.”

If I reach my target of £300, the money could be used to equip two mobile health clinics or allow 400 people to be treated for malaria. It is an incredibly worthy charity and I would be really grateful for any support you could give - a little goes a very long way!
