September the 10th will see me running my first full marathon around the vineyards of Bordeaux in France!

The Marathon du Medoc is a fancy dress marathon and this year the theme is animals so I will be donning some sort of (non furry) outfit and hitting the ground running (literally!). 

I will be running for Maggie’s cancer caring Centres which are for anyone affected by cancer. They are places where people are welcome whenever they need support and advice. Whether it's diagnosis, undergoing treatment, post-treatment, recurrence, end of life or bereavement, there is always someone to talk to.  
They also welcome family and friends, as they are often deeply affected by cancer too.

 I'm in full training mode at the moment and you can find me in the gym at least 5 times a week. I've even given up all alcohol until after the race!Although it's tough and pretty painful at times, if It means that I can raise money for such a worthy cause then it will all be worth it! 

We all know someone that has had or has been affected by cancer, and no-one should go through that alone so please help me raise some money so people can get the support and advice they need.
