Story
In memory of Graham Pain an extraordinary man.
I have chosen to undertake this massive challenge to walk from London to Brighton in honour of my husband. This challenge will see me walk 100km (approx. 60 miles) with 1,500m climb non stop! As many of you know I am NOT built for speed but hopefully I am for endurance as I will be walking continuously, even throughout the night, to cross that finish line. Nothing I will endure would be anything compared to the physical and emotional hardship my darling Graham went through facing his inoperable and incurable diagnosis in the last 6 weeks of his life.
To say I have been devastated by his loss is indeed an understatement. My world has been turned upside down. In facing the life of not having Graham by my side I have tried to keep busy and embrace new challenges. I have met some lovely people along this journey, so be kind to people, you never know what their own personal challenge is. Please give generously to help Guts UK fund research and find treatments for the less survivable cancers.
My children, family and friends have provided such support for me since Graham passed away, I am truly grateful, my aim is to raise money to help other people survive the less survivable cancers. Even if it is just one family spared from going through what we have gone through, even if it is just one person to survive this cruel disease, for me will be enough as I cross the finishing line knowing that your donation could make that happen.
