Story

In May 2021 I tried running for the 1st time in my adult life! Mainly as a way to maintain a recent weight loss. I started with the couch to 5K and just kept running 5K 2/3 times a week. Then I discovered Parkrun, and have now done 70 runs.

Little did I know that running would very quickly become an addiction!

I completed the Silverstone 10K challenge in May this year, and straight after decided I needed my next challenge - the Leicester Half Marathon it was!

I sat thinking what running had given me and thought I really could use this as an opportunity to give something back; hence I contacted Loros. Loros is a local charity that I have heard some amazing stories about. Most of us have and will be touched by cancer at some point in our lives, so it felt like the right cause to support.

If you would like to sponsor me it would be very much appreciated (although no obligation). It doesn't need to be a big amount, every penny counts and really does make a difference. Next have kindly started me off with £100 (thank you!).

Thank you in advance for your support, I will update you all once I have completed the race x
