Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page even though I may have badgered you to!
Most of us love our clothes but do we ever stop to think about who produced them? and in what conditions?
In January this year, a 20 year old female garment worker was killed by her supervisor after suffering months of sexual harassment and violence in a factory based in India that supplies clothes to H&M.
Labour behind the Label are demanding H&M take responsibility, grant justice for her family and ensure gender based violence and harassment ends - now.
LBL work tirelessly to protect the rights of garment workers in the UK and overseas. They hold clothing brands to account, ask for transparency of how workers are treated and that they are paid fair wages.
I've supported LBL for several years personally and professionally. So I'm hugely grateful (as I'm sure the garment workers are too) for anything you too can give by donating in lieu of a birthday gift for me this year.
Thank you for being amazing!
