Story

Update Fri 28th Oct: Pete and Sandy will be at Maggies Dundee to present a cheque for £3,471.10!!! Thanks again to everyone who supported us. We are really grateful for all the help.

Update Mon 19th Sept: Thanks to everyone who came along to the Friday night party at Blairgowrie Rugby Club. It was a great fun night. We raised another £104!!...and it was not meant to be a fund-raiser. Thanks again to all who supported us.

Update Tues 13th Aug: Thanks to all the fantastic support, we have now beaten our £2,000 target!! All our supporters are invited to Blairgowrie Rugby Club on Friday 16th September at 7.30pm for a bit of a shindig, and a thank you from Pete and Sandy. There'll be some music, and a game or two, and Wacek has promised to make his world famous stovies. Hope to see you there. We'll be presenating our cheque at the end of the month.

Update Sat 26th Aug: We made it!! Thanks to all our great support!! We survived Sandy's damaged bike chain in Arbroath (200 yards into the tour!! Big thanks to Arbroath Bike Chain guys) & Pete falling off in Forfar (He accused Sandy of pushing him!!), and some heavy rains, & winds, and one murderous hill just outside Alyth.

Cally Gordon rode from Bridge of Cally to Pitlochry, and Wacek Lekowski accompanied us part of the way from Dalwhinnie. The folk at Kirkmichael Community shop took a collection for us, when we stopped for a breather. Wyndie and family's big banner at Ennochdu spurred us on.

There were 20 of our friends to welcome us to Fort William. It was then party time on Saturday night!! Powser even got the locals in the Nevis Bar to sponsor us to the tune of £30!! Well done Paul!!

Update Sat 20th Aug: Thanks to Ali McRae for organising a Pampered Chef party last night!! It all helps!

Update Thurs18th Aug: Bikes now serviced (thanks to Tim Edwards and Spokes of Dundee for their help)!! Final training runs coming up over the next few days. Ft William here we come!!

Update: Tues 27th July: Pete & Sandy drove part of our route from Bridge of Cally to Arbroath to check out the hills - only one bad one!! Our training is going pretty well, but still need to do more road time. Seems to be a big crowd going to be at Fort Bill on Saturday 27th Aug!!

Training update: Sunday 3rd July: Pete & Sandy did the cycle run from Dalwhinnie to Blair Atholl to check on the surface. A great run, great weather and fantastic scenery. Thanks to Isabel, Wacek and Aileen for their support. So far so good!

Pete Ireland and Sandy McCurdy, from Blairgowrie Rugby Club, are cycling the 150 miles, coast to coast across Scotland, from Arbroath to Fort William, on the 26/27 August.

Both Pete and Sandy's families have been affected by cancer. So to celebrate 35 years of friendship and to help fund-raise for the wonderful Maggie's Centre in  Dundee, we're embarking on (what for us) is a long long trip.

We're calling our trip, the "Don't Worry - Be Happy" Tour.

Please dig deep and help us reach our target for Maggie's Centre Dundee
