We are taking part in a 160ft tandem bungee jump at London O2 arena dressed as 'Batman & Robin' in order to raise money for the new SANDS bereavement room which is due to open on delivery suite at PRUH in April 2013. This new facility has been designed especially to be used by women and their families who have sadly lost a baby.

We both have personal experience of pregnancy loss and also work on delivery suite where we see this sad occurrence all to often. We hope the opening of this new room will help to make a difficult experience a little more bearable. In addition we aim to raise the profile of the bereavement services offered by both the PRUH and also by SANDS (Stillborn and Neonatal Death Charity).

Sands is a national charity, established by bereaved parents in 1981. They have 3 core aims which are:

to support anyone affected by the death of a baby;

To work in partnership with health professionals to improve the quality of care and services offered to bereaved families; and

To promote research and changes in practice that could help to reduce the loss of babies' lives

We thank you for visiting our page and appreciate every penny donated to this fantastic cause. Robyn and Sara also welcome anyone who wishes to come along and watch the bungee jump to join us-
