On 16th October I will be taking on my biggest running challenge to date, the Great Birmingham Run. I am doing this in memory of Ida Parkinson who was president of Redditch and District MacMillan committee, Worcestershire's first MacMillan nurse and some one I considered to be an inspiration to me not to mention a true friend. She dedicated a great deal of her life to caring for people with cancer and touched the hearts of many. So if anyone can spare anything towards this fabulous cause, it will be very much appreciated by, not only myself, but Ida's family, friends and the charity she was so passionate about.
